It’s a sizzling summer in Albuquerque, and we’re ready to show you a good time. Albuquerque has so many fun things to do this summer, that I’ve decided to make this blog a series…depending on how many days you have to spend in our wonderful city. Whether you have one day, two days, three or more, I’ll tell you what I would do if I were you!
First, you should know that the Mauger Estate B&B is very centrally located in downtown ABQ and we have a couple of great summer specials: book 2 nights get 10% off, book 3 nights get 15% off. Also, for you last minute travelers, check out our fantastic last minute rates, only available within 5 days of arrival.
Secondly, please visit the Albuquerque Convention and Visitor’s Bureau site www.itsatrip.org for a list of fun things to do anytime. There are also lots of exciting things on www.rt66central.com, and the city’s www.cabq.gov/fun/summer.
And now for the first of the Mauger’s Summer Blog Series. If you only have one day in ABQ, you’ll want to wake up to the sumptuous smell of freshly baked goods at the Mauger, take in our delicious fulfilling breakfast, and head out for the day around 9:30am. Starting at the Albuquerque Museum of Art and History, you’ll find many treasures. When finished there, stroll through Old Town Plaza, if you’re hungry, have a bite to eat at Church Street Cafe, and catch the ABQ Trolley at 1:00pm. This 1 ½ hour open air trolley tour is a fun and entertaining outing.
Then, happy hour on the upstairs patio at Season’s Rotisserie and Grill seasonsabq.com, live music on Saturdays and Sundays. Then go across the street to the Albuquerque Museum of Art and History for Jazz or Salsa Under the Stars www.nmjazz.org/Summer_Concert_Series.aspx.
Or, if live music isn’t your bag, head up the mountain to the Sandia Peak Tramway for sunset at its best www.sandiapeak.com/. Return for dinner in Nob Hill at one my many favorites: Scalo, Zapateca’s, Streetfood Asia, O’Neills Pub, Two Fools Tavern, and many more!
That’s all for now, watch for the next blog for other one day adventures in ABQ!
